A wonderful horseman once told Mackie, “If you want a better horse, you have to be a better horseman.” While that seems like such simple advice it’s a different mindset than most of us want to consider. After all, don’t horses just come trained? Possibly, but if you don’t know what you’re doing when handling them - whether from the ground or in the saddle - they can quickly develop some bad habits.

Let Mackie Train Your Horse!
Mackie offers private training for you and your horse if the clinic route isn’t your cup of tea. He’ll put your horse into his daily training program starting with basic groundwork. Then, as your schedule allows he’ll work with you and your horse. After all, it doesn’t do much good to train the horse if the owner and/or rider doesn’t know how to communicate with them when they go home.
