Seems like the ending of one year and the beginning of another, is a time to reflect on what a person has accomplished and what he hopes to in the year to come. This passed year Kathy and I have been able to do some pretty cool stuff with horses and people who love horses. We have met folks who had a lot of fear when it came to their horses. People who had a lot of desire, but were not sure what to do with it or, how to get there horses where they wanted them to be, safe, reliable, fun. We have had the chance to watch people become better horseman and in turn, have better horses. Folks that could not load their horses in a trailer, for example, now have the skill and knowledge to handle some of these issues on their own.
Kathy and I have thought back on horses we have had in the past, but for whatever reason, have had to let them go. Lighting,Tim, Ziggy, Luzan, Buttercup, 22, Surprise, are just a few that come to mind this morning. Having said that, we are excited about what this year will hold for the horses and us. We already have clinics scheduled for January, weather permitting and are looking forward to meeting new people who want to be better horseman and to get to work with folks we have this passed year. To watch them explore their own horsemanship and continue to improve.
Time! It all takes time. Kathy and I wish you all the best with your horses this coming year and hope that you make memories to last you a life time.
Will try and keep you updated with info on what the heck I'm doing with horses and music.
