![]() It was cold! Kathy and I are getting ready for our clinic this coming weekend. The truck is ready. The trailer is ready. Need to go to the dump this morning and then get the truck hooked up, load the boys and then head that way. We are going to go over the evening before so we don’t have a bunch of running around to get ready for the clinic. As you can see from this picture, the last time we were at Sue’s for the clinic it snowed on us. I’m pretty sure that’s not going to happen this time, but I’m still taking some warm cloths. Her place is a thousand feet or higher then our place here on the ranch. Kathy and I are both looking forward to seeing folks again and showing a little more stuff to them. We are preparing for the round pen demo we will be doing for the county fair this year in TorC New Mexico. Our neighbor is the county extension agent and he is making this all happen for us, so we are excited about that as well. If you are in the neighbor hood our Demo is Oct. 21st around 3pm at the fair building in town. If you don’t know where that is, just stop and ask just about anyone, they can point you in the right direction. A Zeb update. He is making good progress. I have not been able to spend the kind of time I would like to with him, getting ready for the clinic and all, but I’m not in any hurry. Sometimes I have to remind myself that he is here for as long as I want him to be here and all we have is time. When he first got here he would walk passed you when you were leading him. He is much better about that after a talk or two with him. You still have to remind him but he quickly adjust his gate to stay behind me. People ask me how I teach a horse to lead and where a horse should walk when being led? Perhaps we can talk about this next week.. Coffee time.
