Out the back door!
The internet is great when it works. Yesterday morning I sat down to write my blog. Had it all finished and got a message that said something like, oops we are having a problem please try later. I spent a ton of time writing, typing, only to have it vanish. So, I said, that's it, I'm not going to write it again, and went and got a cup of coffee and called it quits on the blog. I love the internet, when it works, but when it don't I get a little, well you get the picture.
Still cold here, which made me think of water. The water don't freeze much here through the year so when it does it's a deal. Over at Ted's barn, which is where I keep Charlie, all our waterers are automatic so we never have to worry about the horses having water but when it freezes they freeze, One thing your horse needs to stay warm is water. It can be cold water but they need water. I use the saying a horse can go, two minutes without air, two day without water, two weeks without food. They can go longer then that but it reminds folks that horses can endure a lot, but at some point they need all these things. So though this cold snap we have been having water had been a bit of a deal, and something that we all need to keep track of, automatic waters or not.
Am working with Charlie on the ground a little everyday, not asking him to move quick, just move when I ask and where I ask. He continues to improve. He is just a baby and he has a lot to learn but I think he has a good start. I know that by the time he is five or six he is going to be one heck of a horse.
Will try and keep you updated with info on what the heck I'm doing with horses and music.
