My buddy Jake!
This passed week Kathy and I had a nice visit with the kids of Don and Linda. You may remember me talking about them. They are great friends from town. Anyway, they brought their kids out to see us. Arin, I think it’s with and A, Michelle his wife, and their son Jake. We have heard lots of stories about Jake but none of them could compare to getting the chance to meet him.
Jake is a wonderful young man, 10 years old, who lives with a disability that most don’t. He loves horses so, we took the opportunity, while he was here, to get him up on a horse to do a little riding. The picture shows him with me and his dad helping him stay in the saddle. What a wonderful family they are and to see how dedicated they are to each other was a joy.
The big yellow horse is making good progress in the trailer loading program and he will finish it up this week. His owner will be here this week to work with us. We will start to teach Ilene what her horse knows and show her what she will need to do to keep him there.
We got another horse in who has some trouble being asked to do ground work. He has a history of rearing up when being worked on the ground. I have seen this happen and it’s impressive. He has spent the passed couple of days in the round pen getting used his new surroundings. We will really start him in the program today.
Better get out there, but first coffee
Will try and keep you updated with info on what the heck I'm doing with horses and music.
