To the pens.
Some of you have asked about the clinic we had scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, this past weekend. Well we cancled it due to weather. Saturday turned out to not be to bad a day, but I'm not sure about Sunday. The weather on our side of the mountain was fine, but it can be so different on the other side. Anyway, we will see what we can do to reschedule it. May have to wait till spring.
Today I have three student for riding lessons. They each have a different time, so it usually takes up the morning. I have a new student Deb. Not sure if I have mentioned her. I think she is from Cal. and lives here on the ranch. She has never ridden a horse in her life till last Monday. So very excited for her and she seems to really enjoy it.
I'll start to use Charlie when I give these classes. That way he gets to be around other horses when horse back and we will show them how to do, whatever exercises, I'm having them do. Charlie is really doing well. He has finished his hobble traing. That does not mean I will never hobble him while he is here. He will get hobbled many more time before he goes home, but what it does mean is, he really understand the concept and no longer tries to fight them.
Should be a good week. I think the weather may be a little cold, which I do not like, but that's part of it.
We got a lot of calfs gathered over at the Ten Canyon ranch last week. I think that they are shipping a bunch of their calfs today. I always learn a ton when I get a chance to work with someone like Mike. He has so much experience gathering wild cattle for the government when he was a young man, and he is happy to share what he knows. I look forward to another chance to help him out.
Will try and keep you updated with info on what the heck I'm doing with horses and music.
