Filling the tank!
Had a nice rain, about a half inch, yesterday toward evening. Went out with the truck to watch the dirt tank fill up below the house. That tank has been dry for about 2 years, so was really nice to see it filling up.
My meteorologist, Kathy, tells me we have an 80 percent chance of rain today. Yep, that's good news.
My buddy Mark and I tried to get up in the forest to check out the damage of the fire last week. They had the road closed so we didn't get very far, but did get to see some before we headed back to the truck.
Gray with his big boy bit!
I've been riding the Gray in the Mikmar Bit for about a month now and he is getting along with it just fine. Bit's are a whole topic for the blog so maybe I will save it for another time. I think that most people don't understand how they are suppose to work and just get what they think looks pretty or they've seen someone else use. But this bit looks like a monster bit but, it's not. It's that, don't judge a book by its cover deal. We'll safe it for another time.
On another note. Al Ragusin called me Saturday morning to ask if I would like to be put on his website as someone who knows how to use his double rein system. I don't know how much I have talked about his system in the pasted but will make that a topic for the blog in the future. Anyway, I am excited that Al will endorse me. He is a good man and has tons to offer to folks who want to work with their horse. So, check out his website http://trainingyourownhorse.com Tell him I sent you.
Will try and keep you updated with info on what the heck I'm doing with horses and music.
