Friday was a pretty busy day. After working with the Gray, we were invited to the wedding of Mike's son Dee, our neighbor. It was held out on Mike's ranch and we had a good time. There were folks there that we had never met and some folks we haven't seen in a long time.
Met one of Mike's friends from over in Az. who raises race horses. He said he had 85 mares and 75 colts on the ground. It's quite the operation and he invited Kathy and I out to see it, so I'd sure like to do that someday.
Friday I also took my new student Mary, out for a 2 hour ride to see some of the sites on the ranch. We had a good time and Mary is now, thinking about getting her own horse. She loves animals in general but would love to see more of the ranch from the back of a horse.
Saturday, Kathy and I played for the grand opening of the Black Range Winery. There was a pretty good size crowd there for it and Kathy and I had a blast. We went down the street after the event, to pick with folks in front of the post office. Love a little town.
Today we will get back at it, at the barn. Will continue to ride the Gray, doing some things in the arena and then taking rides outside. He will be heading home soon so want him ready.
Will try and keep you updated with info on what the heck I'm doing with horses and music.
