Andrea and Sue our host!
What a great weekend Kathy and I had with the group in our clinic. This was the first time that we have had the chance to work with folks that we had their horses in training here at the ranch. And to see the progress that they are all making on their own with their horses was amazing.
We had a nice age range from 15 to 74 years of age.
On Saturday we had a group lesson where we worked on our ground skills in the morning and then rode in the afternoon. These ladies know these exercises so we were able to go thru them pretty quickly, but they all were looking for ways to improve, even on the things they already knew. It was great.
In the afternoon we worked on our riding skills. Again, most of these things were things that they already knew, but they could see the need to make improvements in how they were getting things done.
We had a student from a time back, who had attended the “Buck” clinic a week or so before and she was impressed with what everyone was getting done.
This clinic has given me a lot of things to blog about. So, what I hope to do is use each student and what they wanted to work on as a subject for the blogs as we go along this fall. Should be a lot of fun and there will be a lot of information for everyone to benefit from.
If you like what you are seeing here and if you are learning from it please let me know by liking it in FB or just send me a note on the comment part of the blog. Please feel free to pass the blog on to your friends, horse people or not. I’m finding that there are a lot of people out there that just like to read about what goes on at a ranch or at the barn.. So please pass it on.
Will try and keep you updated with info on what the heck I'm doing with horses and music.
