What a great day I had with my grandson yesterday. As I have mentioned I have been giving him some riding lessons and yesterday he had his second lesson. A friend that lives in Iowa was out to the ranch to visit her family and stopped by while Matt and I were riding and she took some pictures for me. I keep forgetting to bring my camera but not this time.
I’m sure that those of you who are grandparents know what I’m talking about. I know that my grandparents, bless their hearts, did not teach me much about life or living or anything else for that matter, not sure why that is, could have been their generation I guess. I was never around them much either, we traveled a lot when I was a kid. The same is true with my grandkids and daughters. I don’t get to see them much these days. This is a long winded way of me trying to say that I want and have wanted to share horses with them for a long time, and to have this chance and have them WANT to learn, is a blessing beyond compare.
Matt helped me work Pepe and Casino and then he got his chance to ride. He learned to trot yesterday and I could not be more prod of him. Bay, my granddaughter, is going to get her chance to ride and work with horses today and I hope to have pictures of her tomorrow.
Today we will work with the horses in the morning and then off to the vet to get Casino’s vaccinations for the year.
Better go get some coffee.
Will try and keep you updated with info on what the heck I'm doing with horses and music.
