Spent most of the morning working with Tim... the gray horse. He is doing pretty good... we are working on a brake...he stops but not as quick as I would like... he is getting better but it is something that for some horses takes a little learning...
A lady from Hillsboro town came out with her horse... he is about 3-4 years old and she is just starting him. She rode for a bit in the round pen and did some ground work with him too... she is in no hurry to get her horse started and that can work to her advantage. She won't have to push him hard to get him to a place to please an owner... but she will still have to push him in some areas... She said that some of the things she was having problems with at home were not showing up when she was at our place.... and there were other things that he was doing.......pulling on her hands.... that he was not doing at home... I'm sure he know the difference between being at home and being some place else... and I'm sure that the lady was different too... it all takes time... time for the owner to sort out what is best for her horse and time for the horse to figure out if what the owner is doing is really in his best interest... So is a good thing she has time.... I'm very proud of her... would be easy to just take the horse to someone else and have them start him... but she wants to experience it herself...that can be good and bad... but she is up for whatever comes....
Am day working today for a ranch next door to us... is the first time they have called and asked me to help... they must be desperate... LOL...
Will try and keep you updated with info on what the heck I'm doing with horses and music.
